Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out in the world. Hereby we know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already it is in the world (1 John 4:1 – 3).
What is impossible with man is possible with God. We can resist nothing in the flesh but the Spirit of God that dwells in us will help us to overcome the flesh, then shall it be manifest in us: in spirit and in truth shall we please God.
It is the nature of the antichrist to resist the Son of God, to oppose Christ, to minimise his glory but excel the works of his father the devil. But we are of God, we follow after Christ and God. Those that are not of God will not follow God: this is true. Whom the Father has in his hand, no one can take away. We are of God. It is our inherit nature that we cleave to him, cling to him, and desire him. The children of the world rejoice when they do evil: they love the things of the world. But we who are from God, there is no rejoicing with us. Our spirit mourns and grieves because we know we have done what is contary to our heavenly Father and our God. The wisdom of God is this: nothing imperfect can be sustained forever. But our God is the God of perfection. He created the heavens and earth with perfection. There is no lie that comes from God. In his supreme wisdom he created all things for his pleasure. There is no other God beside him. He stands alone in glory. He governs all in his wisdom. Nothing is done, lest he allows it. And who stand against God today will bow before him tomorrow. The wisdom of God is this: If a man fear God, then consider him wise. But if not, then he is a fool. And he who exalt himself against God is not doing the work of God but the work of the devil. And his wisdom is not from above but from below. We are living in the last days and we will see the nature of the beast, more prevalent. Surely, many will glorify the beast. These are those who glory in vain things and exalt themselves against God. These are those who follow traditions and the rudiments of men, the religious ones who say they know God but deny him in their works, ever learning and not coming to the knowledge of truth, will not heed to the word of God but heed to falsehood and false hope, who in their minds exalt themselves against God with lies. They are a rebellious type who resist good but accept evil without resistance. These are they whose ears itch for corruption but the truth which is acceptable before God they resist. They resist the light and life of the living God. But that which is without hope and full of darkness, they find comfort in it. They are an unholy people who glory in vain and lift up unrighteousness. But there is a remant, a chosen generation, a holy people, that stand against corruption, is defiant against evil, detest the works of unrighteousness, and will not bow to Baal.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (2 Peter 2:9).
Those who stand with Christ, in the liberty of righteousness, in truth, will lift up his glory, even in the midst of the heathen. We stand with God, our Saviour, our blessed hope, even from the beginning, in the mercies of God, in truth that rise up in glory and lift up the works of righteousness. The LORD is our God: so let it be. Let it be that the Spirit of truth shall prevail in the land of the living. O great God, in thy hand shall we abide. Thou art our sustenance. Thou art our life. Glory abound in thy hand. So gracious is thy tender love before us. In thy fear, let wise men exalt the name of God. Let them glory in that, who live in spirit and in truth. For who is from God shall honour him, and obey him, and lift up his name forever. This truth I have spoken from the great God of Israel, that by his hand man shall live or die. Remember the words of the LORD, that you may repent of your sins and follow after Christ our God. Let no man deceive you into believing that he was sent by God, yet he detest the works of Christ and of God. We will look at the fruit. If the fruit is evil, then the root of it is evil; the foundation is evil. And who is evil but their father the devil? This is our guide. Lest a man bring forth good fruit we will depart from him. No matter what he says, we will look at the fruit. If anyone rise up against Christ and our God, how can he bring forth good fruit? Little children, we are of God; we have the Spirit of truth in us. We will test every spirit. And if there be any foul thing that comes in the name of Christ but does the work of the devil, we will bring it to light, and oppose it with the Spirit of truth.
O LORD, sharpen us, thy beloved, with thy words. Let us discern all that come in thy name, and root out the fallacies, the falsehood of vultures, the corrupt nature of the beast. Let your glory be forever magnified in our hearts. In Jesus name. Amen.
