The perfection of glory is Christ. If we honour Christ then we will honour God. No man cometh to the Father except through the Son. Then this shall be our endeavor as Christ so ordained in the holy scriptures that we may take hold of what is right and acceptable before the LORD. Let it be then that our eyes shall feast on the glory of God and not on our wicked hearts. Many of us strive with our brothers and sisters. Many of us turn to our own ways and yet expect the glory of God. Who is God? He is righteous and just. He sheweth mercy and giveth grace. His compassion is renewed daily. He will not hold his anger forever. And he is God. Who are we but vanity? And yet we hold on to anger, we will not forgive and shew mercy; we will not cloth our brother nor feed him. And then we say the LORD delights in us. We have deceived ourselves with foolishness. We walk but we walk crocked. We run but we run the race not to win. How can we triumph in victory if we live in sin? Shall we not seek the righteousness of Christ, that our hope before God shall be hopeful indeed? To God I give glory for his wisdom because he has opened my heart to his truth. Let us walk in this truth, in wisdom and the fear of the LORD, repenting of our sins and seeking the righteousness of Christ!
And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday. And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not (Isaiah 58:11).
Man shall live by the word of God. This is acceptable in God’s eyes. But the foolish will not heed to the voice of wisdom. The God that created the heavens and the earth and made man in his image and glory is a great and perfect God. There is no lie in him but only truth. Even from the beginning the word of God is established in truth. In truth did he ordained strength to babes and sucklings. In truth did he established the heavens with understanding. In truth did he predestined the glory of those he shew his salvation. If God is on your side, rejoice. Give thanks and praises to his blessed name. For who is man who have done wickedness, yet God seek to save him? O merciful God, I will bless thee all the days of my life. Thy praises I shall magnify in the heavens. Because of thee man have hope. Man glory in thy riches, those that are wise and fear thee. Thy goodness is magnified in truth. Thou shew us thy lovingkindness. O LORD, let us bless you; for without you we are at the mercies of vultures. Who shall endure in the hands of the wicked? O LORD, let all man come to their senses and cleave to you. Let them surrender to you who desire to save them. This is my prayer. O God, hear me that your mercies shall remain.
