Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD (Jeremiah 9:23 & 24).
God will not be mocked. Those who desire to do wickedness and believe that your wickedness will get you to heaven, do not deceive yourselves. The LORD has not closed his eyes against the violence. He has not closed his eyes against those who say they love him but instead they despise him. He has not closed his eyes to the things of the world and the multitude of evil. He has not closed his eyes to a people who fall asleep in evil and awake in evil, who call on him with unrighteous hearts and every lying tongue. The LORD has not closed his eyes to those who rejoice in evil and call it good. He has seen the injustice on the poor and how mighty men have rise up and oppressed his people. Truth they have pushed behind them. His goodness and mercy they have trampled on. They say in their hearts, Who will be our judge; we are our own god; who can bring us down? Every foolish thing they have conceived and called it wise. Every evil they have thought of and bring it to pass. And yet they call themselves good, making a mockery of God. But there is only One that is good. The LORD my God. For I have seen his goodness and his lovingkindness, day and night. I have seen the judgement of the LORD. O how he is just. I have seen his word; O how they stand up like a high tower and with strength. Let the LORD glory and let him be praised; for he alone is good and worthy to be praised. And every thing that cometh from the LORD is true. Magnify the LORD. Lift him up from the four corners of the earth. O High and mighty God, thou art truly a joy to my soul.
The LORD is good. He is a delight to my soul. Day and night, I have seen his mercy. O how the LORD comforts me, even in the midst of the heathen. His name is excellent before me, more precious than gold and all that this world can give. The joy of the LORD has come upon me. RIGHTEOUSNESS is in my midst. O Father, truly thy hand is beautiful. The joys of the LORD nourish my soul. O how good it is to seek the LORD. It is good to seek the LORD.
Who is good but God? Every man has done evil… All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
My God is a God of love. He is also a righteous God of lovingkindness, and judgment. Do not forget these things, O wise men. Every wicked thing on the face of this earth shall be destroyed. You can give it a name. You can call it mighty man. You can call it president, prime minister, senator, king, queen, prince, princes, judges, little gods, celebrity, rich and famous and unjust, or poor and wicked, false prophets, vipers, deciples of the devil, children of darkness, destruction from hell. You can even call it apostle, bishop, highly esteemed. You can call it abomination and destruction. For what is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God (Luke 16:15). You can call it heavenly if you like but that will not make it right. You can even say it is of Christ. But many false Christ have come into the world. If it is evil it will be destroyed in hell fire. You can rest assured of that. Evil shall not prevail in the land of the living. The meek shall inherit the earth. The pure in heart shall see God (Matthew 5:5 & 8). God will judge this earth. And everything, the living and the resurrected will be judged accordingly. Justice will not go unnoticed. Every deed, every lie, every fabrication, every scheme, every hidden thing, every evil that cometh from the heart shall be judged. Let no man say that he is good; Let no man say that he is righteous; Let no man say he shall see the face of God, lest he repent of his sins and accept my LORD and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth, as his redeemer and his salvation. Let he who say he is righteous flee from corruption. Let him flee from darkness and walk in the light. The children of God are children of light. What is it then, that you shall do evil and call it good? That you shall do wickedness and say you do justice? That you shall trample on the poor and needy and say it is godly? I tell you the truth: no man shall mock my God. No man shall say, God will not know; he will not see my evil; he will not consider it. I tell you, he will consider it. He will consider all of it, lest you repent of your sins and depart from your wickedness. The day will come when no man shall say, I did not know. I did not know the judgment of God shall come upon me. I did not know that I deceived myself, and not God. Be ye wise to do good and not evil. Flee from evil. Scorn it; let it be a scorn under your feet. Despise it. But lift up my Christ and my God. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, lest you be caught in the dark without oil in your lamp when the LORD shall come like a thief in the night. The LORD is my God and he has spoken. Take heed, lest you say that there is no hell, nor no fear of God in you. But I will tell you there is a hell (see Luke 16:19 – 31) and the fear of God shall come upon you on judgment day. You can be sure of that.
