THE HONOR OF GOD:by Mikey St. John

Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and them that despise me shall be lightly esteemed (1 Samuel 2:30).

Life and death is in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). But I tell you this truth: live and death is also in the word of the living God — Life to those who harken to the voice of God, and death to those who despise it. For God shall honor the living, him who glorify Christ. But no honor shall come to the dead, him who have made a mockery of the Son of God. Let the hope of this God be a hope of righteousness and of truth, resting in the resurrection of Christ. For death shall have no glory in the midst of the LORD, and the burdens of corruption have sunken to the depths of hell. The truth shall stand on the rock, and it shall not be shaken. And all that have eaten the lies of bitterness shall be covered in darkness in the depths of miseries. The honor of God shall rise up on the wings of eagles. Glory shall behold it, and the liberty of Christ shall beseech it.

And who shall dishonor this mighty God? Shall the brutish and the stiff neck and the rebellious prevail against the LORD? Who have bring forth dishonor and destruction to him without knowledge? Who have said in his heart evil is good and good is evil? Shall the LORD not dishonor unrighteousness ? Shall he not cause a desolation to come upon the wicked? Men of meekness and of understanding shall live. Him that fear the LORD shall receive the honor of God. Him that has not considered the word of God a burden. But he rejoices in the goodness and mercy of God, and has not denied this God shall receive the honor of God. Let all who desire life rejoice in Christ; for death waits at the door of the disbelievers.

O Father, O Blessed Hope, my bowels bring forth thy grace. And thy hope has come a full. O LORD, to whom honor and glory belongs, let my blessings dwell with you, my God. And let my blessings be upon you forever. Amen.

    2. He is God and our LORD. To him we glory. To him we praise. Without our Savior where will we be? We own everything to him. He is the redeemer, the glory of our souls. Blessed be the name of the LORD.
