We don’t always choose circumstances. So, is it then fair to say that they sometimes choose us, who are mere mortals governed by Almighty God. And that in our finite wisdom we will never comprehend the infinite works of God.
Very often we find ourselves in situations, wondering why? But misguided opportunities are not really misguided if ultimately the supreme forces of God are at hand. Keep in mind that time and chance happen to us all. God causes it to rain and the sun to shine on both the wicked and the righteous (Matthew 5:45).
His assurance is evident that he will not forsake us if we believe in him. So instead of panicking, angsting, and making things worst, why not help the situation with courage, hope, faith, while being cognizant when confronted and rejoice in our suffering, trusting that God will see us through, praising the Lord at all times. Knowing, that, while we suffer, our faith grows stronger, and our perseverance brings us closer to God. For the infinite wisdom and love of God will always lead us to peace, content, happiness, and satisfaction. And placing emphasis on helping others might be a wise and blatantly preferred thing to do in order to divert ourselves from the unwanted situation, that undesirable heat, if even for awhile, allowing God the needed opportunity to step in and implement his blessings.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the way of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1Thessaionians 5:18 (ESV)
Keep in mind we’re not alone here, and we’re certainly not in control. And as children of God we have grown accustomed to trusting him through faith. This might be a bit disturbing for those “control enthused individuals,” who’ve totally lost it. And I’m certain that on numerous occasions when you felt like you were standing on quicksand — relief came suddenly, when you least expected it. This is not only true for you, but many have witnessed the hands of God lifting them up to higher ground.
Faith goes a long way; it can move mountains. Give it a try in times of need. You’ll be amazed what it can do for you!
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
