WASTED EFFORT: Mikey St. John

Wasted effort, you may say, on people, superficial things, logical ideas once laced with exuberance, now illogical and lackluster at best—if only you would take the time to remove the impulses, although irresistible, euphoric, and difficult, you might be in a better place. But all our efforts are not wisely used; think about it. More than likely the potentials given to us by God will always result in success — if we will just use them according to our ordained blessings.

In the scientific world the reverse is true. There, the Law of Conservation of Energy holds true, where energy changes from one state to another. But in life, which is no game, our souls come into play, and we are seeking fulfillment from God, well, that’s a different situation. And unlike time, which is transient, a momentary prelude, gone with the wind, lost forever and cannot be regained — our efforts [way of life, the things we do] linger for all eternity. And you can always count on them (your deeds) to get you the needed response, even if they were not obvious, then, to you or to others. Because God weighs our hearts and he knows our intentions. And what really matters is how we live your lives, the things we do in the face of God, right now, and the days ahead. What we sow we shall also reap. Keep in mind that tomorrow is promised to no one. Every decision we make matters. Even if we did not achieve the expected outcome(s), we may have discovered that we pretty much learned something from them, providing solace; at least, I hope so. And may be I always knew there’s no loss where our effort is concern, if what we do is pleasing to God, and all it does is keep transforming itself constantly, almost exhibiting polymorphisms [experiencing changes]. So the next time you think about using your efforts in positive ways, or otherwise, inevitabilities are such that they would not deny you their worth. If you do not use your potentials according to the seed planted inside of you by God — then they will be in vain. However, if you did — they will not be in vain, regardless if you deemed them irrelevant, even when in disgust.

Keep in mind the potentials God put in us will always result in success if we use them. God cannot fail, but man can.

Whatever you do, do it for the love of God. Because God is love. And his love lives in us, his beloved, for all eternity.

Heavenly Father, I rejoice in your Holy name, because I have see your love. I am a testimony to the glory of God. For my Lord continues to abide with me day and night. Blessed is the Lord thy God who does these wonderful things. For you are my God. You are my Lord for all eternity. Amen. (Mikey St. John)
