Woe be unto you who collect tithes and offering, and consume from the poor all that they have, and full your houses with all sorts of treasures while the poor go hungry. Woe be unto you who say you are shepherds of God, but guide not the people in the evil day. Woe be unto you who say you have faith in God but you are evil and full of wickedness who led his people astray, to suffer hunger and the perils that shall come upon this land. The storehouses of God are empty while the people hold on to false hope. You say you are prophets; and some call themselves Apostles, and many great names you call yourselves. But who are servants of God who stand by the wayside and cry out to the sheep? Who call them and show them the way? Who speak the truth and guide them by the word of God? If you will do the work of your father the devil, then leave the children of God along. If you will not lead them to greener pastures, then leave them along. You seek after vanity and corrupt your minds with the riches of this world. You run after it like the heathen and then say, I am of God. But many shall perish at your hand, then shall the judgment of God be upon you with great wrath. Great vengeance shall be your reward, then shall you know that a servant of God told you so. Let those who are with wisdom and follow after God depart from these vultures whose desire is to fulfill their own vanity. Let vanity be vanity but partake not of it. Look to the word of God and take heed, that you may walk in the light and in the wisdom of God. Let this be a warning for those who detest the ways of God and make a mockery of the LORD, who exploit the children of God. You teach them your filthy ways and not God’s ways. You give them false hope and take away the hope of God from these people; you blind them with your faith but God’s faith you will not let them have it. Woe be unto you who tempt God and forsake his word. Woe be unto you who God delivered from bondage but you return to it. Woe be unto you who stand without the power and glory of God and say, I will show you the way. Woe be unto you who God did not send to do his work but you rise up with falsehood to do the work of your father the devil, and then you say, God sent you. You have called God a liar. And by your lying tongues you shall eat the vengeance of his hand. Woe be unto you because you have taken the children with the light of God and bring darkness among them. Woe, woe, woe, shall it be in the day of judgment. Woe be unto them who say they see but walk in darkness. O the blind leading the blind, what shall become of them? Surely the wrath of God shall devour you, lest you change from your wicked ways and shepherd the children of God. I bring you this message: I am a servant of God, who will not sit by idle while you ravish the children of God. Take heed, I tell you; for surely the wrath of God will come upon you.
