THE WONDERS OF THE LORD ARE MANY by Michael

O LORD our God, who is like unto thee? Who have inspired me and caused me to sing songs of rejoicing? Thou have considered me for thy praises and not for destruction. Who have stood up with glory before me, so mighty a glory I do not understand? My heart is joyful in thee and sings praises of exaltation. Thou art everlasting God. Thou art my God. This day, O LORD, which thou have made, thy glory shall be exalted. Who is this God of Israel who have put this in my heart and cause it to sing praises of jubilation? Let the name of the most High be praised without ceasing. He is our God, Creator of all things heaven and earth. O LORD our God, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory above the heavens (Psalm 8:1). When I have come to understand this God, I say: this God of Israel is a good God. He sheweth mercy where there is none, compassion when men have turned away from thee, his lovingkindness where there is no love and kindness. O LORD my God, because thou art my God I shall lift up thy name on High. I shall speak of thy glory and declare thy truth in all the land. Even thy mighty wonders I shall bring before the sons of men. I shall remind them of thy greatness. The wonders of the LORD are many. Many, O LORD God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us – ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered (Psalm 40:5). Who say the wonders of my God are old and weary and shall be no more? Who said, these are former things and the latter days shall be without the glory of the LORD? Who have speak such evil and know not the truth? Here I am, standing in the power of Almighty God and I say to you: the wonders of the LORD is from everlasting unto everlasting. Let this be the declaration, the truth spoken by all men, young and old. Let it be that the blessed name on High, the King of glory, shall be exalted for his mighty wonders. Let us praise the LORD my God. Let us lift up holy hands; for today we have seen the wonderful hand of our God. Make known of his riches in all the land. Say to the people, this God of Israel is a God of mighty wonders. I am a servant of the LORD who stand before you in truth. It is by the wonders of the LORD I stand to testify to the glory of God and to declare things that are right. O LORD my God, how excellent is thy saving hand? How wonderful is thy mercies before the sons of men? O heavenly God, who speaks things that are right, magnify thyself, O LORD. For by thy hand man shall live. And by thy same hand man shall die. How great a God who giveth life and can also take it away? Thou art a mighty God who does wonderful things. It takes the mighty wonders of the LORD to deliver me from the depths of hell. O LORD my God, how wonderful is thy saving hand? He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD (Psalm 40:2 – 3). O Father, thy glory shall not grow old before me. It shall be renewed with strength daily. Daily shall I exalt the name of the LORD. I shall bless him in the highest because he considered me worthy to be saved. If it had not been the LORD what praises would I sing? O Father of righteousness and hope, let thy name be blessed in all the land, then shall I be glad. Father, let my praises be pleasing before thee; for this is my heart’s desire to exalt thy name with gladness. From everlasting unto everlasting, let my praises rejoice thy heart, O LORD, then shall my song have a sweet melody, pleasing in thy sight.

LORD, I give thanks unto thee; for thou have steady my course. When the sea was rough thou calmed the storm. In the lonely nights thou comforted me. Thy thoughts we not far from me. My glory did not remain in the dust. O LORD my God, let thy name be honoured in all the land. Let your people come before you with gifts of excellencies. Let your praises be magnified from generation unto generation. Then shall I say, it is well with thy people – they honoured God. Hear thy servant, O LORD, that I may know the desires of my heart please you. I stand in thy righteousness, in thy goodness and mercy, and declare things that are right before my God, to honour him and to lift up his glory and magnify the name of the LORD, from everlasting unto everlasting. Blessed be the LORD God of Israel who have heard my cry and did not turn away.
