For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power…And you being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, had he quicken together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holiday, or of a new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ (Colossians 2:9 – 17).
Hallow be the name of our God. Let our tongues rejoice in him. Let us worship God with sincerity of heart – then shall we prosper in the LORD. Let everyday be a day that we glorify the LORD. Yea, if only for a moment, call on God. Remember the hand of God, his salvation, and his great mercy towards us. Let every day be a day of gratitude, thanksgiving, and praise. Let us make a joyful noise unto the LORD, and magnify his name in truth, then shall the God of Israel be glorified. Let us not only profess our love for God, but seek him diligently with all our hearts. Let us honor God with the hopeful dwelling in Christ, in the resurrected power and glory of our God, who giveth salvation, and is forever blessed.
But today, we see that many have lost their sense of direction and their hope has gone astrayed. What shall it be then? Shall we hope in what profit us nothing? Shall we glory in the rudiments of men, in pride, and in ignorance? Yet shall I show you a more excellent way where the love of God and man abideth in everlasting glory. And all the laws are in the righteousness of Christ. For we see that one who hangeth next to Christ on the Cross was hopeful unto the rudiments of the flesh. And he perished. But the other unto the Spirit, the Christ, the Son of God, and he liveth. Yet he did not abide in the sabbath. He abideth in the Lord of the sabbath. He abideth in grace under the salvation of God. Shall we then say that the righteousness of Christ is lesser than the hope of one day? For if we glory in one day what shall it profit us? But if we glory in Christ it shall profit us everlasting life. I am a lover of God. My soul knows fully well and my heart rejoices in him. This God is my glory. He is my hope. This truth I shall tell you which my God has revealed to me. Many will perish even though they honor the sabbath day. But the love of God and man in the righteousness of Christ supersede all things; for it fulfilled the law. Let no man confined you to dishonor and his cruelty of ignorance. For him that keepeth one law shall he not keep all? Even the Pharisees kept the law but they knew not the Christ. For they hang him on the Cross. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:20). Men need to seek God in sincerity that he will bring forth his hopeful knowledge of his glory in Christ the Son.
The Jehovah Witness say, We are the chosen ones. Yet they glory in a doctrine of fallacy. They accept Christ (really) but deny his power, his supreme authority as LORD and God. If Christ is not God then what shall be our hope? For I tell you this truth, Christ is LORD and God. There is power in the resurrection of Christ, the Son of the living God, and eternal glory. In the beginning was the Word; and the Word was with God; and the Word was God (John 1:1). And another, the Seventh day Adventist say, We are the hopeful glory of God, while others are blind and follow not the ways of Christ. But they are saturated in laws, the rudiments of men, in vile and corrupt things that profit them nothing. They desire to keep the law, but cannot fulfill it. They fail to live up to the standard of the living God; for they are in error, and they know it not; for they seek the wisdom of men, and not God: the blind leading the blind. All others shall perish as far as they are concerned. Well I am not a lover of one day. But I am a lover of God, and Christ, and truth, which the Holy Spirit has revealed unto me. I am not wise in my own understanding, but I seek the LORD. I seek God daily, and if I perish I perish. For this God that I seek is alive and speak this truth to me. I am not ashamed of the LORD, nor have I kept him hidden under my bed. He is my glory. And his glory is in the heavens and the earth. He is the everlasting hope and the light of the world. If any man be in Christ and Christ in him, he shall see the face of God. The Spirit of the living God dwells in me and counsel me in his wisdom. I shall speak things that are right. The God of Israel will declare truth and truth will stand on solid ground. It will stand on the Rock, which is Christ, my LORD and my God. Their religion is false, a doctrine of fallacies, built on corruption and the errors of men. Let God be true, and every man a liar. I ask all of them, where is Christ in all their confusion? If Christ shall not glory, then what shall it profit me? For I put my trust in him who hang on the Cross on Calvary. My confidence is in the LORD. My hope has an expected end because of him. And I will bring forth the word of God that you may feast in his truth, and live.
A more excellent way is to love our God with all our heart and soul and mind, and our neighbors as ourselves. On these commandments hang the law and the prophets (Matthew 22:40). If all abideth in this truth, our God shall glory. Christ is the only way; he fulfilled the law. Now glory in that, lest you abide in laws that fulfill nothing. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. FOR CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS TO EVERY ONE THAT BELIEVETH (Romans 10:3 & 4). Believe this truth.
Let me bring to your remembrance the LORD of glory and everlasting hope. What God hath cleanse, that called not thou common. And again it is said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter persons: But in every nation ye that feareth him, and worketh righteousness is accepted with him (Acts 10:15; 34 & 35). Then let us behold who is mighty in all his glory. Not man but Almighty God. The working of errors availeth nothing good. All it does it keep people under the burdens of law and the oppression of men. But truth shall rise up in Zion. For it shall be called the city of truth. Let the word of God be a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way (Psalm 119:104). Let every man who desires to guide thy people seek thee, O LORD; for the LORD speaketh truth and his judgment is right. Lean not to your own understanding; for out of it cometh wickedness. Stand on truth, the word of God, and you will not fall. For it is by the word of God, his truth, he created the heavens and the earth. And he declared Christ his Son, the Savior of all men. Stand by that, lest he put a stumbling block before you. And this same Christ, our Savior, is LORD and God of all men.
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day (Matthew 12:8). Christ is Lord of the sabbath day. If you abide in Christ shall you not also abide in the sabbath? If you obey Christ shall you not also obey the Father and keep the sabbath holy? Be wise in Christ. Know you not that he that saved you saved you even from one day? Is Christ not the restorer of hope? Yet shall we let hopelessness seep into our veins with the burden of laws and the glory of men? For the LORD my God is glory. His name is Glory. He came to free this world, even from the bondage of men and the rudiments of the wicked. If you abide in Christ the LORD shall joy. He shall glory. Every day shall be holy in the sight of the LORD. Let every man who is without wisdom seek the LORD and come to the knowledge of truth. And let it be known – That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the LORD Jesus, and shall believe with thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved (Romans 10:9).
While it is honorable to worship the LORD on the Sabbath day, that alone will not save you. Christ is the Savior of the world. If you obey Christ you will also please God the Father. Let us remember that God is not only alive on the Sabbath day, but every day is worthy of praising God.
