And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honored upon Pharaoh, and upon all his hosts; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so (Exodus 14:4).
Pharaoh, Let my people go! The LORD has shown you his power and strength, yet you have made your heart like stone, and your bowels like spoils. Who can eat of them? You have seen what the LORD can do; yet you will not repent of your evil ways. You say, who is LORD over me? Is the God of Israel my LORD? Is there anyone that I should bow to? Who have dominion over me? I am brutish, yet I have no wisdom. Do you not know that the LORD is greater than all gods? You have caused your wickedness to be a detriment to this nation. Destructions have come upon you, yet you will not believe. O Pharaoh, there is death in haughtiness, but strength in meekness. Do you not know that the meek shall inherit the earth? Where is your wisdom? Have sin eaten up your knowledge, and have caused shame to cloak you in disgrace? You cannot fight with this God and win. The hand of God is with Israel. He has bare them on eagles’ wings, and bring them unto himself (Exodus 19:4).
Pharaoh, Let my people go! What more must this God do to prove to you that he is the LORD? He has created the heavens and the earth, and all therein. He has formed you, and blew his breath into you. He has given you a conscience that you shall know what is right from wrong. Yet, a multitude of Pharaohs has stood up against the LORD. All the wonders you have seen, yet you will not believe. You say in your hearts what more can this God do? Look around you, and see what the strong hand of God has done. Look around you, and see the mighty power of the living God. Look around you, and see the hand of glory. Look around you, and you will see the works of this mighty God of Israel. Look at yourselves, and behold the hand of the living God. Will you make your hearts like stone, and retreat from this God? You have looked up, and you have seen the glory of God all around you. You have seen desolation, destruction, and corruption before you. You have seen the ways of evil, yet you will not depart from it. You will not repent; for you say in your hearts let evil come. Well I am here to give you a message from this God — evil will come and bring terror upon the face of the earth. It will come, and no one shall turn it back. The LORD will have his glory, and no one shall turn it away, thus saith the LORD. And when it comes, it shall behold those who have turn their backs on God. It shall behold the rebellious, the stubborn, the stiff – necks, the Pharaohs. It shall bring to their hearts sorrows. It shall bring to their hearts pain. It shall burden them, lest they repent of their sins and come to the LORD.
Pharaoh, Let my people go! Must he cause pestilence to come upon this land for you to believe? Must this land become like Sodom and Gomorrah, desolate, without glory, for you to believe? Must he path the Red sea for you to believe? How much power and glory must my God show you for you to believe? This land will toil in miseries, yet will you say: where is this God? I tell you the truth. The day is coming when shame will come upon those you will not believe. The day will come when the Pharaohs of this land shall find no glory. And all that they will find is desolation upon desolation. The land of desolation shall have no glory. Glory shall not dance in it! O, the vanities of their hearts shall eat up their wickedness. Then shall they say, truly, this is the LORD, the great and mighty God of Israel, who behold glory, upon glory, upon glory, glory without end. The day will come when this God will rejoice by his hand. It will come when they shall say, truly this is the living God. Will you believe then? All must come, and join the people of God. All must come and be one with this God. All must come, and glorify this God. For I tell you this truth: you have not seen what God can do for you, lest you come under the obedience of the LORD.
Pharaoh, Let my people go! Let them go that I may bring them to the land of glory. Let them go that they shall make a sacrifice unto me. Let them go that they shall praise the LORD their God. Let them go that they shall partake of the blood of the Lamb. ALL SHALL LIVE BY THIS COVENANT OF THE LORD. All shall be redeemed by his precious blood. All shall glorify the LORD my God. And they shall remember this day, that the LORD God Almighty has delivered them from bondage.
O Pharaoh, why have you allowed evil to behold thy soul? Today, I tell you, the high hand of God will be exalted. And all the Pharaohs shall know that he is LORD and God above all. O the power and the glory of the LORD, who can stand against it? There is no one, in this world, or the next. For this I say, dominion, power, and glory to the LORD my God. Let the high hand of my God be magnified in this truth. To the ends of the earth, all shall know what the Egyptians endured at the hands of my God. And they shall remember, in all the land, that the high hand of God is with Israel. This shall not go vain, nor shall it go weary; for the LORD my God has done it. And who shall say otherwise? Blessed be my LORD, from everlasting unto everlasting; for it is well with my God.
