We rejoice in all good things send from above — sometimes without thought for the Holy One who made them possible. For we are not merely existing on our own, or are we? We cannot control our lives here on earth. Then why do we think that the things we have are from our own doing?

My beloved friends, it is not by our own accord that these things happen. For I have seen the works of God. I have witnessed the hands of God and can testify to his mighty, and glorious works. Because of these things I exalt my God; for he too has exalted me from the depths of hell. And he has made me to flourish in the land. So it would be wise for you also to gather his praises, and glorify him with many thanks. For in the morning you awake with a glad heart, so exceedingly glad, more precious than gold. And his undying love you have received. Oh, how wonderful is our LORD.

O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. Psalms 34:3

Let us be glad for the right reasons. Let our gratitude extends to the God of heaven. O LORD, how delightful thou are. O LORD, how thoughtful thou are. For you have fed us; for you have protected us; for you have provided shelter for us; for you have commanded the sun to give light to us in the daytime; and in the night you have commanded the stars and the moon to shine upon us. It is He who has opened up the clouds so that rain may fall upon the earth and bless it with fruithfulness. Consider the rivers, if they would run dry, what would we become? For just as they thirst and die so would we. Consider the sun, if it did not glow with the glory of God, darkness would roam the earth, and even the trees would feel its pain.

O Mighty LORD, you have given me all that I asked. Even compassion, sorrowful, gifted tears of your gracious love you have given me. How many rivers flow with your blessed tears? And you have made me glad with tears of joy. You have made me laugh at my enemies who serve a god of nothing; for the God I serve is a God of many wonders. My heart is content. O gracious God, how many thanks must I give unto you? For whatever I do I could not repay you. O Heavenly and Righteous Father, please accept my measure of thanks; for they are heartfelt, though they are not enough. But I will continue to rejoice in you O God for the many things you have done for me. I will abundantly give thanks to your blessed name. May the heavens be glad as I am glad, and rejoice in my God. And may he reigns for all eternity.

O give thanks unto the God of heaven; for his mercy endureth forever. Psalms 136:26

Blessed Father, I thank you for your word; for with your word there is truth, wisdom, the joy of being free, and everlasting love. It is true O Gracious God when you say you will be with those who love you, and you will come like the morning dawn to them when they call on you. My God you are faithful and true; for the Holy Spirit comes to me with your glory. Father, may your praises be many. May they overflow with sincerity of loving hearts. And may the heavens rejoice in your glory for ever. Amen.
