Challenges are not designed to be easy, and a sure way to cement our place in greatness is to rise to the top together — where the air is rear and eagles are dare to fly. And although getting there might seem like a narrowing tunnel we’re trying to escape — it’s still possible. We should inspire each other, advocate self-motivation but not stimulate selfishness — nor should we be harsh or disdain, and stepping on others should be avoided as the method of choice for advancement. Conventional wisdom would say, do what you must. But that is the wrong approach, and the prudent thing is to ignore it. There’s a sense of satisfaction we get when we achieve something the right way. The opposite is not always true, has a bitter connotation, defeating the intended purpose.
We’ve an allotted responsibility to assist each other in our quest for elevation. And having respect without contempt is ultimately the approach that should be taken. An insightful reminder, people have a hard time staying at the top, and should we fall a little, or a lot, we’d be glad that we were kind to others while getting there. (Mikey St. John)
