The wicked flee when no man pursue: but the righteous are bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1).
The wicked are cowards, an abomination in the sight of God. They hide to do their evil, and their ways profit no one. Even so, it is written: God judge the righteous; and God is angry with the wicked every day (Psalm 7:11). It is also written: The LORD has made all things for himself: Yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination unto the LORD… (Proverbs 16:4 – 5). What shall we say then? Evil will cease, but by the hand of the living God. This earth shall be purged of evil. And the desolation that walk upon this earth shall be no more. For it is written: Blessed are the meek; for they shall inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5). We wait on the LORD. By his hand will this earth be cleanse. They that rise up against God shall not prevail in the land of the living. Know you not that if you do evil to your neighbor you do it also to God? By thy works you are justified. Show me thy works and I will show you my God. Evil will not dwell in the presence of God. The wicked cannot please God. And they that walk without wisdom and understanding who shall they profit? Seek you not the ways of the wicked; for you shall fall into the pit with them. The wrath of God, even the vengeance of hell shall take hold of thee. Believe this to be true: there is no joy in the hearts of the wicked, nor shall there be peace in the midst of them. Flee from the workers of iniquities and unrighteousness. Save thyself, O wise man; for the day of the LORD shall come upon this earth and every evil thing shall be cast into the pit. Mercy will not save you on judgment day; for you delight in evil and wickedness. You glory on the day of destruction. You take not pity, nor shew mercy. So shall it be upon you: no pity nor mercy, on the day of judgment. Believe this: the brutish shall be humbled in the sight of the LORD. Yet the righteous shall glory in the day of judgment. And they that please God shall not dwell in sorrow. Repent and flee from corruption. Despise evil, and partake not in the works of unrighteousness. The LORD made the heavens and the earth. And his ways shall prevail in the land of the living. Rise up in the glory of God, you that have the Spirit of the living God; for joy shall meet you on the high hill. And the glory of God shall not depart from you. Let your heart be inclined to the way of the LORD. Search out the heavenly things: surely they shall please God. And be not conformed to earthly things; for they shall not profit your soul. Look up to the heavens, and to my God: and take pleasure in the ways of his hand. Let the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart be acceptable in the sight of God (see Psalm 19:14). Seek Christ and his righteousness; for the ways of man are not sufficient in the sight of God. Only those that make a blood covenant with God shall inherit his kingdom. The blood shall justify you before the presence of the LORD. Even so, by works also shall man be justified, and not by faith only (James 2:24). That is to say, despise not the blood with evil works and then say: It shall profit me. They that do the works of the Father it is them that love him (see John 14). Be you then lovers of God, and be not evil doers. Put your eyes on Christ. And forsake the ways of the world. Be not an enemy of God, but a friend. It shall profit you in the sight of God. Seek perfection in Christ. Love one another. For how can you hate your brother and then say, I love God? Fool not thyself, O you that behold anger and bitterness and unforgiveness. Cleanse thy heart and let it feast upon these; for it shall do you well to keep them. Love the LORD thy God with all thy heart and soul and mind. And love your neighbor as yourself (see Matthew 22:37 – 40). Search thy heart and if there be any doubt, repent and change your wicked ways.
