DEPART FROM THIS ADULTEROUS WAY OF LIVING AND RETURN TO YOUR FIRST WIVE OR HUSBAND, OR BE SEPARATED. BUT CLEAVE NOT TO ANOTHER; FOR IF YOU REMAIN IN SIN YOU SHALL BE CONDEMNED FOR IT by Michael

Yet you say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou have dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. And did he not make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hate putting away: for one cover violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that you deal not treacherously (Malachi 2:14 – 16).

The LORD hates putting away. Will he take lightly you putting away your wive or husband for another? Take heed that you are not guilty of this before the LORD; for surely you shall be judged for it. Depart from the ways of adultery and let it not have an hold against you. Let it not dishonor you in the sight of God. For many have forsaken their covenant with God, saying, God will understand: he did not want that for me. But I say unto you, lest you be a fool, flee from sin and not let it be the thing that shall condemn you. God is a covenant keeping God: do not ever forget that. You may not keep yours but he will keep his, and remind you of it on judgment day. This is a serious matter and should not be taken lightly. But many live in sin and say, I am happy now: this is what the LORD wanted for me. You believe evil is good and what was good before the eyes of God you call it evil. But evil will not prosper in the sight of God. There shall be no rejoicing of it in his presence. Depart from this adulterous way of living and return to your first wife or husband, or be separated. But cleave not to another; for if you remain in sin, you shall be condemned for it.
