O filty nations, why do you do evil and expect good to come out of it? Why desire destruction and then say, The LORD will build us up? You say, In God we trust: but who is thy God? Did my God seek after unrighteousness? Did he delight in evil and magnify lies? Did he kill the innocent and cause destruction and desolation upon the earth? How many have bled from your hands? Innocent babies and little children, their blood cry out for mercy. Will God not hear their cries? Why do you destroy the children of God and yet rejoice? God is awake and his vengeance is stirring up. His wrath is kindled and burning with agony. His heart has endured the pain and suffering of his people. You have said, We will destroy the poor: we will cast them out to the dunghill; we will glory in the rich, and the evil will rejoice by our hands. O God of mercy and of truth, who shall profit from the works of corruption? O LORD, consider thy people who turn to thee in truth. Lift up Zion, O LORD, that she may not fall to the ground. Help us to endure in the evil day. Behold, our God is with us. Righteousness shall beseech us. Under his wings shall we seek refuge. And with his wisdom shall we endure. But those who detest the will of God shall not prosper, lest they repent of their sins and trun to God. Repent of your sins and turn from your ways, O evil man, that God may shew mercy upon thy soul. Stand in truth and honour God, that he may turn to thee with joy, and not sorrows. Let not the wrath of God come upon you. For today the LORD shall shew mercy. But surely the day will come when you shall look to God and find no mercy. Take heed, O nations, lest you glory in vain; for your days of evil shall surely come to an end, thus saith the LORD, the great and mighty God.
Blessed be the name of the LORD, forever and ever, for his goodness and mercy and excellent judgments.
