Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine (Psalm 33:18 – 19).
Fear the LORD and worship him. He is the everlasting God. It was the LORD that stood in the beginning and spoke truth. Out of his mouth every living thing proceeded. If it was created, the LORD has done it. O, the glory of God, who can understand his mighty hand? So great is this God to whom I turn to and to whom I delight. For all generations we have seen the works of this God. And those who honour this God shall not do it in vain. From generation unto generation, the LORD is my God. His hope stood on High and who shall bring it down? There is none but the great God who shall behold such glory. O blessed LORD, my wonderful God. Let us cling to this hope, the rock of Zion. Let us desire the right hand of God. O what a strong hand shall we desire. The mighty hand of God avails much. If we shall seek this God of Israel it shall not be in vain. I tell you things that I know that this God has shown me. I speak the truth of the living God. O people, forsake not your God. For the day is coming, that great and mighty day of the LORD. All who have not fear [reverence and worship and honour and love] this God shall not dwell in peace. For only by the hand of the LORD shall all men dwell in peace forever. Only this great God can do these things. The peace that this world offer shall vanish. Even now you can see that no peace shall come by this world. For how can you get peace from this corrupt world? It is not this world to give eternal peace. Man cannot give you peace. But I know a God who sits on High, a mighty and wonderful God in whom I delight, he giveth peace and no one shall take it away. The hope that this world offer shall be hopeless. All the riches of this world shall not profit you. For naked we come and naked shall we go. Hold on to what is good before the eyes of God and seek the truth. What will it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul (Matthew 16:26)? Many have not considered that but it will be well for them to consider it. There is a reward for the righteous and for the wicked.
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then shall he reward every man according to his works (Matthew 16:27).
If you are not in Christ and he in you then you shall be deemed wicked. No man shall seek his own righteousness and yet shall he glory before God. O Pharisees, because you say you have no sin you shall not dwell in hope. Let every man confess his sins before God. Let them repent and seek this God while the LORD can still be found. For the day is coming when many will look for God and will not find him. Today is the day of repentance. While it is said, Today if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts as in the provocation (Hebrews 3:15). If you do not believe my God you shall find no rest. Do not deceive yourself that it shall be otherwise. But if you believe, then you believe in a good thing; for the mercy of this God shall follow you forever. It shall cloak to you for all generations. For it is written: And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation (Luke 1:50). Then it is well to fear the LORD and abide in this truth. It is well to honour God and endure in his mercy. It is well to hope in the LORD; for it shall not be in vain. It is well to bless the LORD. Blessed be the LORD, in whom all shall find a hopeful glory. Hope in him who is good and righteous and holy. Hope in the LORD my faithful God. Hope in the everlasting God. Amen. Blessed be my God who liveth forever. Amen. Blessed be the holy One on High who keepeth watch day and night. Amen.
