O LITTLE CHILDREN, LOVE THE LORD by Michael

O little children, love the LORD, who loves us dearly, and gave his life for us. This is my plead to all of you that the joys of the LORD Jesus Christ may abide in you continually. Believe with all thy heart that the God who loves us will come for us. And that our longing for Christ shall be fulfilled. If it had not been so, what hope will we have? For he said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5). In my Father’s house there are many mansions: if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am there you may be also (John 14:2 – 3). We believe this to be true. And the Spirit that dwelleth in us can testify to this truth. How much more then the righteousness of Christ and the faithfulness of the Father, to comfort us, whom he love? That in our weariness we may remember the goodness of God, and call on the name of our LORD our strength, from whom body we eat and whom blood we drink, that we may come to know and understand his glory. For he giveth life to those who love him with all their heart. We must surrender all to the LORD; for how can we give a portion to him and a portion to the world and then say we love him? Do not be deceived in your efforts. But let your deeds be justified before God. Let our actions not bring God to jealousy; for who shall we please then if not the LORD? Our desires are to please God. If we do these things God will be exalted. This is the hope of all saints to bless the name of the LORD and to lift up our God on High.

If it had not been for our God, where will we be? If it had not been for his grace where would our hope be? If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us (Psalm 124:2 – 3). But we have the LORD forever. That in him we offer thanks and praises to God the Father of our LORD Jesus Christ and our Father. Let us then dwell in this hope, a glory exceedingly well before the throne of God.

O Father, magnify yourself, O LORD, in thy riches which thou giveth unto the saints before the foundation of the earth. LORD, let thy name be blessed forever; let RIGHTEOUSNESS rejoice without measure; let it abound LORD, from everlasting unto everlasting; for thou art my God and my hope is in thee.
