THE DEAD CANNOT PLEASE GOD BUT SURELY THE LIVING CAN LIFT HIM UP by Michael

But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who had opened his eyes we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself. These words speak his parents because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue (John 9:21 & 22).

If the love of God is not in your hearts, will the building save your souls from damnation? Lovers of self glorification and of men and not of God shall fine no hope. For it is better to not sit in the seat of the scornful but to delight in the glory of God.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law do he meditate day and night (Psalm 1:1 & 2).

Many have forsaken Christ, who is LORD of the Church of God, for a building. Many love to gather before men and to glory in their midst. These are the modern day Pharisees who know not God but a building. They honour buildings but not Christ. They say they are of God but God is not in them. They are clouds without rain who are destined for the pit and do not know it. Christ came to save the world, if only they would believe in the Son of man they shall inherit the Kingdom of God. But many are busy glorifying themselves. They are too busy seeking titles. Who is this Apostle and who is this prophet? Who can do this and who can do that? Who is gifted with this and who is gifted with that? But who giveth these gifts and these glories? Is not my Christ and my God? I say to all of you seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all things will be added unto you. Honour God, in Spirit and in truth. Seek his face with a pure heart. Lift up my Christ. Lift up my God. Make thyself low but lift up my God. Then shall you please God and he shall open your eyes to his truth and you shall know the glory of God is upon you. If any man think of himself to be so esteemed and know not God, what is he then? He is a fool without the fear and the wisdom of God. But if he be so as a child, whose heart is pure and true, surely he is accounted for more in the Kingdom of God. It shall profit us then to humble ourselves before God and abide in his truth. Let us be children, obedient to Christ, lovers of God and not of buildings, then shall we please God. Remember, we gather together to lift up Christ, to honour God, and to glorify him. If you go for any other reason, then why do you go? The dead cannot please God but surely the living can lift him up.
