HIS PROPHECY SHOULD NOT BE HELD IN CONTEMPT: Mikey St. John

Imagine living in the days of Noah. Men were living sinful, evil lives. They let the devil governed their lives as they toiled day and night in wickedness. God meant nothing to them then but a joker. Corruption was pravelent. They merry in lust, adultery, fonication, strong drinks; everything wrong they did, including disobeying God. Abomination consumed their lives; they were covered with darkness. And like a blanket, they rapped themselves with it. It was where they seek their comfort. They scoffed at the message of God. And like fools they thought they did not need God. But the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23); and they certainly were not denied that. When God speaks, listen; get on your knees; bow to him, and follow the word of God. If you should ignore it, there is a price to pay.

There was no love for Almighty God in their hearts, except for the faithful, obedient man of God, Noah and his family. But God is awesome. Can you see how awesome our God is? Even then, in the midst of disorder, chaos run rampant. But even so God keep steady his beloved, faithful followers. There was order in the lives of Noah and his family. He kept them safe, strong, in faith, trusting in His every word. For the word of Almighty God can not be destroyed, and lives for eternity. Blessed be the LORD, and His mighty words. His word that gives life to those whose ears are receptive to truth, and who will under no circumstances hold the words of his prophecy in contempt (1Thessaionians 5:20).

Those who listen to the word of God will not quench the Spirit (1Thessaionians 5:19). But they will live to see the face of God. God word supersedes all words (Deuteronomy 10:17); for his word is life. His words will never die. The heaven and earth will pass away, but the word of God will live for eternity. His word will bring to pass his glory. So was it in the beginning, so also will it be in the end. Do not fall asleep on my God. Live every day in prayer, in faith, trusting in the word of God. Do not go astray! Just as the rain fall without stopping, after much disregard, for fourty day and fourty nights the land was consumed with water. So too, our Lord will come like a thief in the night, without notice.

While many were asleep, perpetuated their ungodly behaviors, ignored the word of God, scoffed at Him, so also it will be in the days to come. Without notice, like a thief in the night, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will come to us, those who kept watch, his faithful servants. What a joyful day that will be for many of us.

But even now we see that the word of God is being preach throughout the land, and yet many scoff at it, while they search and seek their own wisdom that lead them astray, stumbling to a place of eternal death. Rather than taking heed to the word of God, many live like corpses, waiting to be devour by vultures.

But the prophesies of our Lord must be fulfil. Those who stay awake and take heed to his words will surely live. But those who scoff at God will surely die. Let us not be scoffers and hold the word of prophecy in contempt. Let us be wise and live in the wisdom of God. So we will not live in vain, but we will live for the glory of God. And in so doing, we will live to see the face of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

May God be with you as He enlighten you in His truth, His word, and open your eyes to deceivers.
