And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the foot. John 20:12 (ESV)

Hallelujah, for the Son of God who died on the cross of Salvation has risen to be with God his Father.

And Mary was alarmed that Jesus was not in the tomb. She was concerned that Jesus was taken away to an unknown place. But soon after, she turned around and saw Jesus.

Jesus said to her, ” Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father, but go to my brothers and say to them, ” I am ascending to my Father, to my God and your God.”” John 20:17 (ESV)

God the Father raised Jesus from the dead by using the Holy Spirit to do it. Just as God resurrected Jesus via the Holy Spirit — we too, his humble servants will be resurrected this way.

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Jesus will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11 (ESV)

…Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 1Corinthians 15:20 (ESV)

As believers in Christ Jesus — we are already resurrected with him. His resurrection is validation that we too will have eternal life. If I may say, “The awaited resurrection has begun.” Our faith, as Christ followers we believe that our Lord Jesus Christ has cemented our immortality. For there is only life through Christ and no death for those who believe in him, and are obedient to his teachings.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Colossians 3:1 (ESV)

It is a beautiful thing to live by faith, trust in the Lord, commit to his teachings — his way of life, and have the assurance of eternal life. Evidently, his resurrection has clearly validated him — not that he needed it. But it has also provided the way for all to seek eternity.

Jesus said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28: 18-20 (ESV)

To reject such a thing — speaks volumes as to the darkness blinding those who do. No man in his right mind would choose eternal death over eternal life. But sadly, many have chosen that route.

But let us pray for lost souls, that they too would see the light, the light that only exist in truth — the light that comes from Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Dear God, you are our God of mercy, our God of forgiveness, our God of love, our God of life. Touch the hearts of those who are lost so that they may seek you. So, they too will live to see your glory for all eternity. In Jesus name. Amen.
