You shackled his hands and feet. You tortured his mind. You whipped him into shame. You try to steal his virtue and demean his existence. You uncaged him — let him loose in these streets with no money in his pocket. And then you called it freedom — expecting him to survive in this world, happy, free of anguish, and the horror that lingers in every inch of his soul. While you tried to take his hope away, destroy his spirit repeatedly — you failed to strip him of courage, compassion, love for the human race, and for his God – the great God of Israel. His mind is strong, and his memory is intact. And although he may know what it feels like to be violated with countless burdens of torment and torture, you crudely left marks of disgrace on your minds; his mind you could not have. Your scarlet behaviors, though not rare, are compelling reasons to remember.

And so it was. But the day will come when he will rise up again. For as it is written so shall it be. Almighty God he will not forget, nor will God forsake him. Today you held your head high [the captives]. Tomorrow you will fall to the dust. Your wicked ways will not go unnoticed, neither will it go unpunished. Just as you oppressed, so also shall you be oppressed by those you once held captive. For the children of God shall judge the wicked. The chosen generation, a great people of the mighty God of Israel will forever dwell in the presence of God. His name is Jacob; and God is his deliverer.

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, fear not: for I have redeemed thee. I have call thee by thy name; thou art mine (Isaiah 43:1).

Fear not: for I am with thee. I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west. I will say to the north, give up; and to the south, keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth. Even everyone that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory. I have formed him; yea, I have made him (Isaiah 43:5 – 7).
