If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him (John 13:32). The same shall be unto you that abide in Christ, and glorify his name in heaven. My beloved, if you want to draw near to God, learn to praise him. Repent of your sins and come with clean hands and pure hearts before the LORD our God.
What is your purpose in this life if not to give glory to God? What shall it be said of he who opposes his Maker, and rebel against his God? Many of you find it hard to rejoice in the LORD, and to praise his holy name. Yet you say, I love the LORD. But you will not lift up his name in glory, and magnify his name, most High. It is a joy to praise the LORD, and to draw near to him. Let us seek the countenance of our God, and delight in his beauty. Let us reverence our Maker, and be in awe with our God. I tell you the truth: my most happy days are with the LORD. I cannot function without the LORD. Lest the LORD be with me who shall protect me. He provides all my needs and he comforts me. He forgive all my iniquities and restore me unto his image and glory. He shew us mercy, and withhold not his lovingkindness. Who can stand without his mercy? Who can prevail without his grace? I will praise the name of the LORD as long as I live. I have made up my mind, that I shall not be without the presence of the LORD. Let glory come and take hold of thee, O LORD; for thou art faithful unto thy servant. Counsel us in thy wisdom, O LORD, and teach us thy ways. And let us lift up glory unto the heavens, and magnify thy name, most High. Behold, thou art the mighty One. Thou art the great One whom I beseech. I beseech my King of glory, my everlasting hope. Rise up, O LORD, with vigor and strength, and let me glorify thy holy name. I will offer thanksgiving unto thee, O LORD; for thy goodness and mercy endureth forever. Also endureth forever is thy righteousness. Thy word is my Rock: unto thee will I live. I will sing thy praise, O LORD; for thou art my delight. By thy saving strength, O LORD, I lift up thy name in glory. Let all the heavens lift up thy name in glory. And let the whole earth praise thy holy name. By thy name only shall man endure. And if a man abide not in thee he is cast as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned (John 15:6). Let us abide in thee, O God. And give glory to our holy King.
Give glory to whom glory is due. Give glory to the God who created the heavens and the earth. Give glory to the God that sustains you, lest you be prideful and ungrateful. For who can stand without this God? And yet man rival their maker and then say, We are wise. Where is the wisdom in that? For the blind knows not his faults, and he sees not his errors. But the LORD God Almighty is God, the revealer of all things. The pure in heart will lift up praises unto the Almighty. And the righteous will sing his praise. If our hearts desire, let it be to praise the LORD, and offer thanksgiving to our God. For it is good to do so, to give glory to God, and to magnify his holy name. Let all that is with breath praise the name of the LORD. Let the meek come before him. And let the LORD lift up the lowly. Let the glory of God abound without measure. And let my God be exalted above the heavens, and above all the earth.
