When it becomes you, and not God, depart from it. When pride becomes our God, we are heading down the wrong path. God hates pride. Then why resist the LORD? And though we were once void of pride, seeking the LORD and glorifying him, our Rock and our salvation, now we have forgotten God, as we focus on self praise. Our image becomes the focus of praise, and not God. We become our own god, doing things to please man, and not God. Let it not be so. But remember the hand of the LORD. Remember his love for us, his tender heart, and his great mercy. Repent of your sins and come into the light. Let the LORD comfort you in his bosom. O the love of God, who can understand it? Though he be mighty and great, yet he attends to our cause. He pity us, and consider us in his great mercy. Let God be your Rock, whom you seek day and night. And glory in him; for he glory in you. You are the apple of his eyes. O the love of God, who can understand it? Surely, the right hand of God is with us. O children of righteousness, behold your God. Behold, your Saviour, who have saved you from the pit, from roaring lions, from the tempest, from everlasting destruction. Behold, the love of God in Christ, in whom we have hope. Yea, he keeps watch over us day and night. When we are weary he is not. When we sleep he is awake. By the hand of Almighty God, in whom my soul rejoices, I bring you hope. Come into the light and feast in the glory of God. Come and rejoice in the joy of the LORD, and find rest in his bosom. I tell you the truth. The joy that God gives no man can give. And the peace he gives surpasses all understanding. Take rest in the blessed hope, which is Christ. And let the holy hills of God abound with praise. Glory shall abound in Zion and you shall be a witness of that glory. Salvation is of the LORD. And no man can give salvation, but God. Repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and Saviour, to the glory of God.

It is written: That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the LORD Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believe unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture said, Whosoevever believe in him shall not be ashamed (Romans 10:9 – 11).

May the Spirit of the living God, lead you to the path of truth, and give you understanding, that in him you shall live. And there is no other who shall give you eternal rest. In Christ Jesus. Amen.
