O LORD, LET THE PEOPLE COME FORTH SINGING THY PRAISE, THEN SHALL IT BE WELL WITH OUR SOULS

Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity (Psalms 98:8 – 9).

O Father, my beloved, my soul cleave after thee, my Rock. By thy hand my faithfulness is enlarged like a great mountain. And who, O LORD, is greater than thee? Thou art the everlasting hope, even the everlasting glory. Thy kingdom is established forever. Let my praises come quickly and take hold of thee. O LORD, tarry no more, but come forth and rejoice; for thy servant lift up thy name in glory. Thou have made my heart glad and I cannot withhold thy joy. Let the rivers flow with mighty waters. The billows shall give their praise unto thee. Yea, they shall swell up with thy glory; for the works of thy hand are excellent in all the earth. And the works of thy hand were done in truth: they shall abide forever. Let thy name glory, then shall there be hope upon this earth. Let the people come forth singing thy praise, then shall it be well with our souls. Thou have made glad the heart of thy servant. Thou have enriched my hope like Zion. All that I asked of thee thou have given to me. My heart’s desires are delightful before thee. I will give glory to thee, O LORD. In the midst of the heathen I will praise thee. Thou have shown me them that say, We know the LORD, but are far from thee. Many lying tongues have lifted up thy name in vain. O brutish man, why do you rebel against God? The LORD is mighty and great and terrible in all his ways. Where is the wisdom of the wicked who lift up their hands against God? They shall be all cast down into the pit. Into deep pits shall they find their glory. But the glory of God shall abound with praise. And the name of the LORD shall be exalted above all names and above all glories. Upon the holy hill will we praise him. In Zion the LORD shall glory. And all the nations of the earth shall come and bow before him. I tell you the truth. Harden not your heart against God. And let not vanity take hold of thee. But desire the things of God, the spiritual things. And give glory to God; for by his hand all shall abide. And if not for God what shall become of man? For it is written: Surely man of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are all together lighter than vanity (Psalms 62:9). Let God be God and let everyone humble themselves before him and give glory to his holy name. Praise be the Almighty, forever and ever. Amen. Blessed be the name of the LORD.
