Behold, the Mighty God: he maketh war to cease unto the end of earth. He brings judgment upon the earth; for the ways of man are wicked and evil. He brings judgment, that man may change from their evil ways, and run after righteousness. But the heart of man is cold: It is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. They follow not after the ways of the LORD, but after corruption and wickedness. Yet the LORD shew mercy. But they cleave not unto the LORD, nor depart from their evil ways. So he intensify his judgment. Yet they take not heed and run after God. But they seek the foolish things of the earth. They desire destruction and hopelessness; for they choose not life, but death. O LORD, they have angered thy heart; for they run after other gods, even whoring after them. My heart is sorrowful, O LORD; for who shall deliver them from corruption? Lest they seek the face of the LORD, what shall be their end? O LORD, take this sorrow from me: let not my heart dwell in it; for the whole earth is out of course. But let me cleave unto thee, my Maker, where there is hope, and joy, and everlasting glory. O blessed Saviour, redeem our souls from corruption. And let thy name glory in our hearts. We will sing unto thee, O LORD, thy praise. Bless Israel, O LORD, and forsake not Judah. Unto thy name will I lift up glory. O mighty God, my heart cleave unto the little children. O LORD, their sorrows I cannot bear. Their innocence is taken away. Their blood is upon this earth. The wicked rise up against thee: they exalt themselves upon this earth. Behold, the glory of God. Behold, his mighty hand shall come swiftly. For the poor and the needy cry out for justice. And the souls of the innocent children desire it. Let the LORD be blessed in the highest. O LORD, hear thy servant; for I stretch forth my right hand unto thee. I empty my soul before thee. My whole heart I give unto thee. O Father, let not your glory cease, but let it abound with righteousness and holiness. Save us, O God, from corruption, and from the ways of evil men.
